$500 for Xbox One or $400 for PS4?

Of the next generation consoles, which one poses the best deal for consumers?

While the Xbox One has a lot of features that expand the realm of entertainment far passed just gaming and into television, movies and music, the price tag that lands on the newest console was quite a shock to those in the industry. At $500 and yet to answer to the problems that many consumers are worried about, the deal with the Xbox One console is appearing to be non-existent. It's a high number for a console that many were already turning down due to some of the changes that Microsoft has made in regards to internet connectivity, game sharing and much more.

That makes the Xbox One no kind of bargain in the wallet department.

With the PS4, the focus was on the consumers and gamers that wanted to enjoy a console without having to really worry about the other realms of entertainment as much. At the end of the day, that is what video game consoles should focus on and the PS4 demonstrated that for fans. Along with their announcement for a $400 price tag, Sony made a huge swing at Microsoft and hit solidly on the jaw in terms of early impressions of next gen gaming.

In the end, it appears that the PS4 is the best deal for gamers. However if you are looking for a broader experience with entertainment and don't mind the negatives, the Xbox One is a very good option.
